The 1MillionTree project is a climate change and environmental conservation project initiated by the 2024 National Coordinators forum with the aim of galvanizing 1 million young people across Nigeria to plant at least 1 tree in their community and also participate in awareness and sensitization activities surrounding the theme of the project. The core objectives of this project are:

• Commemoration of the World environment day on June 5th
• Support in the achievement of SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and communities, SDG 13 - Climate Action, SDG 15 - Life on Land Protect and SDG 17 - Partnership for the goals
• Raise an army of well-informed young people who will champion the cause of environmental preservation and climate resilience in their communities and increase the participation of the citizenry in environmental conservation activities
